About Joy

Joy Celeste Crawford is a long time Eco-Spiritual Guide in intimate relationship with Earth and the Divine Feminine. Her practice invites the sacred voices of the Divine Feminine and the more-than-human world into the guidance relationship. She leads retreats and ongoing women’s groups that call to the rising of the Sacred Feminine in her many forms. In addition to Masters degrees in both Theology and Christian Education, she holds an Eco-Ministry Certificate from Seminary of the Wild and a Certificate in Spiritual Guidance from the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation where she also serves on staff. Joy lives in rural Virginia with her husband and dog on the banks of the James River - part of the James River watershed and ancestral home to the displaced Native American Monacan people. She writes, keeps bees, forages wild medicinal plants, and seeks council from Earth, Moon, and Stars.
